A Town Called Treachery by Mitch Jennings is a book I was lucky enough to read an advance copy of, and this is what I had to say about it:
Mitch Jennings’ A Town Called Treachery tells a story of small-town murder with a warmth that sets it apart. He brings us into the world of young Matty, a kid who comes alive on the page as his investigation into the death of a local woman puts the town’s hard-drinking journo to shame. Filled with affectionate detail, shot through with a profound understanding of the darker parts of our natures, and the light that keeps us going, Jennings makes this tale all his own. I will be putting this book in the hands of every reader I know.
Mitch is just the nicest guy, as evidenced by his willingness to go along with it when I wanted to take a rugby-inspired shot to promote the event! (It made sense to me, because Mitch is a former rugby player and sports writer – but don’t be fooled: it’s not a book about rugby!)
