I am thrilled to say that DIRT CREEK: A Novel (which is the U.S. edition of my first novel) has been shortlisted for the 2023 Lammy Award for LGBTQ+ Mystery! It is one of five finalists for the award in this category.
The Lambda Literary Awards were created in 1989 (the year I was born!) to celebrate LGBTQ books. There are now more than 25 categories. I feel incredibly proud to be nominated for a Lammy, and know that awards like this come from the vision, drive and hard work of people determined to foster and celebrate queer literary excellence. I am grateful and proud and a bit teary, if I’m honest.
